Kamchatka. Trekking route to the Valley of Geysers

Geysers - a rare, almost unique variety of hot springs with the correct rhythm Fountain. Their action resembles a volcanic eruption in miniature. A pillar of boiling water and steam, flying up to several tens of meters up, makes a stunning impression of its suddenness, its beauty and power.
Geysers occur only in areas of active or recently extinct volcanoes. Their existence is always a special obligation to geothermal conditions, the presence of the magma chamber.
Areas where there are geysers, a little bit - this is Iceland, the North Island of New Zealand, Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming USA. Small and a few geysers are known in California and Japan. In the Soviet Union is the only area of geysers - Kamchatka. It is possible that among the numerous and quite unexplored sources of the Kuril Islands also has geysers.

Day 1:  The Group delivered to the village Kirganik and forwarded on a rafts through a single navigable river of the peninsula - the river Kamchatka (750 km), known for its outnumbered quantity of salmon. In the evening excellent fishing will be organised. Overnight at the riverside.
Day 2: After breakfast, the group goes to the high Valaginsky ridge, its steep slopes are covered with forests of stone birch scrub and tall grassland.
In the place where the river Kitilgina begins its way through the canyon ridge, will be an overnight. Fishing enthusiasts will be able to unburden himself to catching rainbow trout, grayling, trout and even silver salmon.
Days 3 and 4:  The next two days the group is moving along the rivers Kitilgina and Osipovskaya the picturesque valley surrounded by steep green slopes of very high hills to the pass just above 1000 meters. Streams ford.
Day 5:  Descent to the river Zhupanova, river crossing. River is famous not only excellent fishing, but also the opportunity to see the local forests master - Kamchatka bear.
Day 6: The approach to the boundary of Kronotsky reserve, the path goes along the volcano Taunshits (2353 moh) by tundra rich with berry - shiksha, blueberry and their frequent guests - bears. Overnight at the cordon Blue valley.
Day 7: In the early morning shift at one of the gems of Kronotsky reserve - valley Uzon. The valley is a huge cavity, its length - 12 km, and width - 9 km. The cavity formed about 40,000 years ago thanks to a powerful volcanic processes. Imagine the incredible size of the natural bowl with soaring warm lakes and mud pots. Hot springs and mud pots affect a variety of colors, which are formed by mineral deposits of the geothermal "wonderland". In this area there are more than a thousand hot springs of different sizes and shapes, the water temperature ranging from 45 to 98 ° C. The main attractions of the Valley: hot springs and maar-lake Dal'nee (formed from the gas explosion crater in the ground filled with water). There are small mineral water (Narzan) sources.
Day 8: Early in the morning group should come down to one out-of-the-way canyon, there is a second pride of the reserve — The Valley of Geysers. The name of the Valley received in honor of 40 geysers and numerous hot springs, gushing into the river for 8 miles. After lunch march to the camp site.
Day 9: After breakfast and closing the camp we will leave the territory of the reserve and head to the river Old Semyachik.
Days 10-11:  Exit to the foot of the volcano Maly Semyachik (1560m). Vulcan is a short length of the ridge on top of about 3 km, consisting of three fused cones. A distinctive feature of this crater lake is light green water. This color is caused by particles of sulfur floating in the water column made by underwater fumaroles. Day 12: Exit to the active volcano Karimsky. Karimsky - one of the most active volcanoes in Kamchatka. He is in the same group, consisting of a 9-eruptive centers (Karimsky volcanic center). This relatively low (1486 moh) and relatively young (6100 years) volcano - the most active volcano in Kamchatka. Only in the XX century occurred 23 eruption. Day 13: Group begins move to the lake Karymskoe and reaches closer to the dinner. The history of the lake is as follows: during the last eruption Karymsky started underwater eruption in the Karymsky lake, which is located 6 km from the crater. Day 14-15: Exit to Lower Zhupanovsky hot springs. Swimming, fishing on the river Zhupanova. Farewell party at the campfire and the last night on a field trip.
Day 16: Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on the helicopter.
